He was born in a musician family, his father, Alexandru Ozon Sr. an appreciated violinist in the area, and the mother, Ioana Ozon playing the guitar and doing vocals. Alexandru Ozon cherishes music since he was young and learns from his dad, first from the mysteries of the violin, specializing later at the pan pipes, flute, pipe, ocarina and bagpipes.
When he turned 17, he signs up for the Popular Arts University, where he studies 6 years the accordion and another cherished instrument, the pan-pipes, the one that brought him international recognition, with it traveling every corner of the world.
In 1972, through the Folkloric Ensemble "Doina Ilfovului", where he will activate as a soloist-instrumentalist at the pan pipes, not forgetting however to demonstrate the abilities acquired in the childhood at traditional instruments like the flute pipe, ocarina and bagpipes.
In 1980, he transfers to the biggest folklore theatre that ever existed in Romania, the famous Artistic Ensemble "Rapsodia Romana", with these performing numerous tours on different continents, in Europe delighting the audience from all the countries like Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Czechoslovakia and the list goes on and on
Besides Europe, he visits during the tours countries from other continents like Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Korea, Thailand or Japan.
In 1982 he established the Folkloric group "Rapsozii Carpatilor", group made of five instrumentalists (violin, accordion, dulcimer, contrabass), Alexandru Ozon singing at the pan pipes, flute, pipe, ocarina and bagpipes. Also, the group had four or six pairs of dancers, for folk dances, and vocally soloist, Marioara Ozon, his wife.
With this group he participated at different folkloric festivals from Europe - Agrigento (Italy, first place), Paris, Frankfurt - and to all the tourism fairs from Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Madrid, Stuttgard, Vienna, Berlin, Tel Aviv, Lisbon, Zurich, Lucerne etc.
