Violinmaker in Bucharest, Romania
Mr. Alexandru Ozon is an authorized violinmaker and has a dedicated workshop where he crafts, restores and fixes instruments like violins, violas, pan-pipes, cellos and contrabasses.
In this particular workshop, old and valuable instruments get restored or rebuilt and new instruments made after classical models, true art of the great violinmakers.
Thanks to the quality fixes and the built instruments, Mr. Alexandru Ozon is very appreciated by the Bucharest's instrumentalists, from the Philharmonic, Romanian Opera, The National Radio Orchestra and other artistic instrumental bands, to the philharmonics and theatres in Iasi, Ploiesti, Craiova, Arad.
The string and fiddlestick instruments are built out of wood of over 20 years, curly maple being used for their backs, covering and neck and for the front, spruce. For pan-pipes, dried and treated bamboo with propolis tincture and bee wax for tuning.
